Our client being an MGA is looking to hire a Liability Underwriter within their contractors’ team. This will be handling new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments. The New Business element of the position is priority.

 

Will be considering premiums ranging from £1000 to £100,000.

 

Duties will also include Issuance of quotations to brokers, entering risk information onto appropriate systems, negotiating with brokers. Keeping relevant registers, logs and records up to date as required by team procedures e.g. new business logs, renewal registers, group business registers.

 

Must have knowledge of claims handling, complaints handling, assessing customer needs, the insurance market f business ethics standards; and necessary financial competence

 

Will be motivated, energetic and competitive, being somebody that enjoys hitting targets.
